Worship

Stainglass DoveWe are committed to worshipping and praising God in a way that meets the needs of God's people and brings God glory. We have one main worship service each Sunday morning and other special services throughout the year. If you're young or old, long-time Christian or new believer (or simply a seeker after truth!), whether you're a Methodist or not, come and visit with us.

Music Ministry

Participation in the Music Ministry at Mount Zion is a good way to use your God-given talents for His glory. If you should choose to participate in this way, you would certainly be among good friends and fellow believers. Methodists are singing Christians. When we join our voices in praise to our Lord, our voices become a prayer as we worship together as a body of believers. Participation in music is an important contribution we can all make. Music is an avenue to developing a deeper relationship with God and other believers.

As John Wesley instructed, "Above all sing spiritually. Have an eye to God in every word you sing. Aim at pleasing Him more than yourself, or any other creature. In order to do this attend strictly to the sense of what you sing, and see that your heart is not carried away with the sound, but offered to God continually; so shall your singing be such as the Lord will approve here, and reward you when he cometh in the clouds of heaven." (From John Wesley's Select Hymns, 1761)

If you sing, play an instrument, or a little of both, please consider joining us. There is a spot reserved for you. Please come and help us make a "joyful noise" to our Lord!

DVD Ministry

Our DVD Ministry is an attempt to reach out to our friends and members who are in need of some personal care and attention. We understand that at times, life doesn't allow you to attend church regularly on Sundays. This ministry ensures that even if you have been sick and away, homebound, or just too busy to attend, we are keeping in touch and supporting you by providing a DVD recording of the Sunday service. These are delivered and mailed on Mondays.

Whether you are in attendance, we know that your heart is at Mount Zion United Methodist Church and we want Mount Zion to continue to be relevant and supportive in your life.

Missions
